Feel good

People always refer to the adage “look good, feel good”. This is of course true to some degree, however i believe the opposite is also very true = if you feel good, you look good.

I love getting dolled up as much as the next gal, i take great pride and care of my skin and nails always, and i like to dress cozy and cute even when home. The fact is when you don’t feel good on the inside, no matter how beautiful you are, you don’t look or feel quite right.

Working on the inside is as important as your outward appearance. I feel this has a direct correlation in fact, to how you are perceived on the outside and even how you perceive yourself. So, how do we start an inward makeover?

The Brain – Let’s begin with our control center. This is where all our doubts and insecurities hide away. They always come out and pounce at the worst moments, dragging you into the dark with them. Grab your reality check broom and sweep these away. Sure, it is always easier said then done, but reflecting inward and realizing how we have manipulated our own thoughts about ourselves, is the first step. Nasty thoughts leads to nasty behavior. You are bold, you are brave and you are beautiful. Now is as good a time as any to change your mindset, there is only one you and the world is better for it

The Soul – Find your inner peace by letting go. We all have past trauma that we hold onto, someone who has wronged us or some event that changed us. It is time to let go. Write down your negative thoughts and burn it. Push your bad energy into a little ball and throw it out into the universe. Say goodbye to hate and sadness, and hello to healing and freedom. Perhaps renew your faith or find your love for nature again. Invest your energies into good things and good things will come to you three fold.

The Heart – Rid yourself of wickedness and fill your heart with kindness. Wickedness towards others will ultimately effect you as well, taking you down a dangerous path and can even alter the course of your life for the worst. Take stock of what you have and find gratitude in these things. Nurture and nourish your relationships, build solid bonds and connect with strangers on the street. Go out of your way to hold the door or help the elderly reach that item in the grocery isle, even if it is inconvenient to you. Spread love like wildfire, once you start, it will catch on. When you give goodness to the world, even the most broken of hearts will mend.

Once you have your house in order, you might not even need the decor to look stunning to the word.

Till next time…
