June brought the winter. I genuinely enjoy winter time since it inspires all my favourite things; Cozy-ness, soups, blankets and cuddles.
While these cold fronts are super chilly, it has been a blessing to be home (I am sure the fur-babies agree). Work slowed down and i occupied myself with personal admin and house chores – not that there is ever a shortage of that.
My energy was put into making bulk soup (usually super time consuming) to have plenty in the freezer and to share with loved ones (safely). I don’t think anything else warms the heart like a large bowl of hearty soup. Winter meals really do soothe the soul.

Reflecting back at the end of last year, i was anxious for what the future held in 2020. The year obviously has not gone according to anyone’s plans, but now that i am settled in, I have loved having my freedom back. I am able to plan my day and do most things in my own time. If June taught me anything, it is that i am extremely blessed to have this.
This month brought me closer to the things i love and gave me a new perspective for the coming months. I feel like my priorities have shifted in some way and i have gained an appreciation for even the smallest of things. With more time on my hands, i have managed to tackle a few things that has always been placed on the back burner. We finally renovated our office and sorted out our garage (both have been a thorn in my side for ever) among other things.
My outlook for July is positive, let us all turn 2020 around starting now.
Till next time…
